Biography

Early Life & Career

Rachel grew up in San Antonio, Texas and attended high school at Saint Mary’s Hall. Since she was a young child, she told people she was going to be a lawyer. Somehow, she had this innate knowledge that she wanted to spend her life pursuing justice. This childhood dream started to become more of a reality in high school, when her grandmother started to tell her about her childhood growing up in North Korea. Hearing about the injustices she faced lit a fire inside her to be an advocate for victims and fight for justice. At that moment, Rachel committed to using her life to serve others. Upon graduating high school, she began her undergraduate career at Wheaton College, double majoring in Art History and English Literature. Here, she excelled. Rachel was on the Dean’s List every semester of college, and was the President and Founder of the OHaNa Club, which seeks to raise awareness of the international human rights violations in North Korea. Other than enjoying academics, she was also a Wheaton cheerleader, was captain of the squad her Senior year, and often played club ultimate frisbee. After completing her undergraduate career with a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and English Literature, she enrolled in law school.

Legal Training

Rachel attended law school at SMU Dedman School of Law where she was involved in a range of extracurriculars. She was an On-Campus Director for the Board of Barristers and competed in moot court competitions, in addition to holding the role of Staff Editor and Assistant Managing Editor for the International Law Review Association. She also spent two semesters doing pro bono work as a guardian ad litem for children in the care of DFPS through SMU's Child Advocacy Clinic, and was a member and Treasurer of the Christian Legal Society. Shortly after she earned her Juris Doctor and became a member of the State Bar of Texas in 2024.

Rachel recently joined the firm as an Associate and is most excited about shedding light on the issue of elder abuse and to focus solely on advocating for seniors, ensuring they always have a voice.
