Biography
Early Life & Career
Matthias John Mourelatos grew up in Reno, Nevada. He graduated from Sage Ridge High School and completed his bachelor degree at the University of Nevada, Reno in criminal justice. Matthias graduated from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 2019, with a concentration in intellectual property.
Legal Training
During law school, Matthias was a member of the Intellectual Property Club and enjoyed taking a variety of classes to expand his legal knowledge base. Matthias participated in the immigration clinic on campus, where he assisted clients in their journey towards citizenship. He also volunteered to perform DACA renewals in the community, directly serving the public. This instilled a strong calling to protect and serve the underrepresented and vulnerable in his future legal career. After law school, Matthias became a licensed California attorney and sought practical experience, first as an intern at an intellectual property firm and later as a legal assistant in family law. He then decided to return to the state of his birth to begin the next stage of his legal career.
