Early Life & Education
Eric Hitchcock is a California native who moved to the North Texas area in 2013. He was inspired to become a lawyer by his grandfather, who was also an attorney. As a young man, Eric also gained a greater appreciation for neglected seniors, as he spent considerable time with family members who were residents of skilled nursing facilities. After high school, Eric attended Sacramento State University, from which he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Economics.
Eric attended the University of Akron School of Law, in Akron, Ohio. After graduation, he moved to California and practiced personal injury and employment law for several years. In 2013, he obtained his Texas law license and began practicing personal injury law in the Dallas area.
Career at The Clinesmith Firm
Eric began working for the Clinesmith Firm in 2018. He handles both California and Texas medical negligence matters. He has successfully opposed demurrers and summary judgments in California nursing home cases and has achieved many successful resolutions of Texas nursing home matters.
