Smith Clinesmith LLP is searching for a Legal Receptionist with experience to assist attorneys and paralegals through the performance of complex secretarial and clerical duties requiring knowledge of legal terminology and the legal process, and will serve as the receptionist for the office by greeting visitors on the phone or face to face, welcoming, and directing them appropriately. This position is crucial to the firm’s growth and expansion. This position offers gratification and fulfillment in the firm’s growth!
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively manage high volume of incoming calls in a polite and courteous manner
- Accurately route calls to appropriate team member or department
- Greet guests and employees with an energetic spirit and offer assistance as needed
- Successfully support a cooperative team dynamic with front desk team
- Processing inbound/outbound mail and faxes
- Cleaning, stocking and supplying designated facility areas, including but not limited to, bathrooms, break rooms, reception area, conference rooms and various office spaces
- Notify managements of occurring deficiencies or needs
Desired Skills & Experience
- Effective verbal communication and customer service skills
- Minimum of 2 years (preferred) front desk and clerical experience
- Previous experience working for a plaintiff’s personal injury law firm a plus
- Excellent organizational skills, outstanding attention to detail, and multi-tasking abilities
- Professional appearance and behavior
Job Requirements
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills on the phone, in person and email
- Positive attitude toward clients and co-workers is essential
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn additional software
- Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision
- Ability to remain in a seated position for an extended period of time.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs. (office manuals, report binders, case materials)
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree a plus
