Chris was born in Conroe, Texas, but raised in North Dallas. Learning that he had a passion for the law and government, he set his sights on a career in public interest. Chris went on to attend Brookhaven College where his interest in working for the government was solidified on a trip to Austin for the Student Government. There he was able to interact with State leaders and develop ideas that would help make a difference in education. Chris graduated from the University of North Texas in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science as well as a minor in Economics. He then went to the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan.
During law school Chris interned with the Michigan State Senate, where he helped draft legislation and help shape policies in the areas of education, energy resources, gun control, and infrastructure.
